Service Description

Based on the book of the same name, this course introduces a style of meditation with a diagram called The Ibri Gate, which is somewhat similar to the yantra in Hinduism. The Hebrew root of the word ibri means to “cross over or pass through.” The Ibri diagram provides a tool with which the mind can penetrate the obstructive habit-field of substances, places, and concepts. The structural geometry of the Ibri will be described in detail, and examples of related diagrams from the 16th and 17th Centuries will be shown. The Ibri will be presented in several variant forms designed for contexts including ritual, but the main emphasis is meditative. A breathing practice called Aetheric Immersion Breathing will also be presented. The main point is a shift in view and methodology away from the prevailing model in Kabbalah, which is top-down emanationism based on linear conceptuality. The alternative is a radical view of non-emanationism based on acausal spontaneity. Several passages from the Psycho-Aetheric Alchemy Series (Volumes 6 and 7) will be used for commentary in a traditional extemporaneous style. Each class will follow with an extensive opportunity for Q&A. All sessions will be recorded, and participants will have access to a video of each recorded class. A PDF handout will be supplied. The theme for each weekly session is below: Session 1: View & Methodology Session 2: Meditative Practice Session 3: Ritual Process & the Tzimtzum
