Service Description

This 4-session Zoom course explores the crystallization of pure vision, symbolized by the philosopher’s stone in alchemy and the aspeklaria in kabbalah. It is debated whether the aspeklaria is a lens or a mirror. Both are actually correct. It is a metaphor for the mirror-like prism of wisdom awareness through which the infinite passes (as the ruach) and reality is seen. In western alchemy, the perfection of this phenomena is referred to as the philosopher’s stone. Despite what some texts suggest, the stone is neither a physical substance nor a psychological state. The stone, also known as a jewel, crystallizes in the heart but is expressed through all the senses and particularly the eyes. This crystallization establishes the foundation stone of the temple, the pivot of the axis mundi, the center of all time and space, and the place from which the tzimtzum contracted. This is the point from which all calculation and measurement commences — where conceptuality both begins and ends. Each session will follow with an extensive opportunity for Q&A. All sessions will be recorded, and participants will have access to a video of each recorded class. A PDF handout will be supplied upon registration. The theme for each weekly session are as follows: 1. Tzimtzum and Reshimu 2. Power of 72 / Crystallization (Part 1) 3. Power of 72 / Crystallization (Part 2) 4. Contemplative Practice
